Winter Adventures With Ali!

January 15, 2010

Last Sunday, I went with Ali to the Fremont Market and had fun adventure with pho and my new lens!  I met Ali over the summer when I had first moved here, and we have a love for photography, so it’s so cool to talk nerdy camera things with her, haha!  She is such a beautiful lady both inside and out!!  What a joy she is to be around with!  And then we did a fun little shoot at the end.  I played around with editing too, which I don’t normally do, but I think I may be getting adjusted to it  :)

Baby Wyatt

January 8, 2010

During my vacation in Texas, I also got to visit the McCarley’s and finally meet Baby Wyatt!!  Wyatt is one of my best friend’s (Krystin) brother’s (Jason & Sadie) little boy!!!  He was just so sweet and fun to play with!  Everyone just loves him, especially Suzzette  :)

Tears of joy :)

Lexi & Craig

January 8, 2010

Lexi and Craig were one of the first people I saw in 2010!  We took these at Point Venture in Lake Travis, TX.  I was in Texas for a week visiting family and friends, and I got to shoot these two again!  It was so fun and so great to see some familiar faces after all these months!  The sun setting was really cool to work with too.  :)

Thanksgiving Part 2 & 3

November 29, 2009

On Wednesday, Norah and I went over to Peter/Kevin/Rob’s house for their group’s Thanksgiving.  We got to play with the adorable little David!  Then on the real Thanksgiving day, JennyB and I headed over to Bill & Bob’s house for an amazing feast.  They are professionals and cooked up a delicious dinner for all of us.  My favorites were the stuffing and sweet potatoes in oranges.  It was great meeting everyone, and we are so blessed for Bill for inviting us into his home to share a great time together! :)  Bill and Bob’s house in Fremont was super cute, and I was so amazed with the pantry door created with all Fremont spots.

The other night I went over to Rachelle and Brittany’s apartment over in Fremont.  Their kitchen was so charming!  Brittany made us some delicious dinner.  We’ve decided we should start a food blog or something!!  Their cute kitchen makes it perfect for food blogs.  It was such a fun time with good people, food, and games! :)

Thanksgiving Part 1!

November 24, 2009

Last night I had Thanksgiving with my group at Derek/Jesse/Sammy’s house.  It was a fun filled night with lots of food, laughter, joy, hanging out, and more food.  Dani and Derek did an awesome job of cooking the 22 lb. turkey!!  Everyone enjoyed an amazing feast together in community.  I took a bazillion pictures of anything and everything, but it was so fun!  I apologize for the great abundance of flashes that my battery eventually died at the end of the night.  I am so thankful for this special group of people in Seattle :)

Last Saturday I had the honor to attend Mia’s Bat Mitzvah held at the Temple B’Nai Torah in Bellevue.  I had never been to one before–such a great experience to see it all!  It was such a pleasure meeting the Chasan’s, their family and friends; everyone was so fun and friendly!  Later that evening was Mia’s party with all the kids and family held at the North Bellevue Community Center.  It was an underwater/ocean theme, and everything was decorated so beautiful–from the balloons, to the lights, and the little details on the table.  There was dancing, food, games, henna, and a photo booth!  Everyone had a ton of fun that night, and so did I!  :)  I had to narrow a ton of photos down; I need to start learning how to cut down photos for my blog!

Robert and Judy’s wedding was held Sunday at Alki Beach!  It was such a honor to shoot this beautiful celebration with their friends and family.  The wedding was a running theme because the newlyweds share this passion as well as with their friends.  Everyone was just so full of life and fun–the wedding party all wore tennis shoes!  The ceremony was held out on the beach, the reception following after the bathhouse.  It was filled with lots of good food and swing dancing lessons!  Robert and Judy are in the army, so they are back in China now.  It was such a pleasure and joy hearing all the stories from friends and family.  In the morning, the beach was covered in fog that we couldn’t even see out to the city, but it ended up creating a dream-like scene for the wedding pictures outside!  There were so many great moments that I think have an overabundance of photos in this post!

Golden Birthday: Ginger

August 4, 2009

Last Friday I helped event planner, Amy Vallejo, shoot Ginger’s golden birthday at the Bastille Cafe in Ballard.  It was really fun!  This was my first event to cover since I moved here, so it was cool to finally shoot something.  Though it was indoors, dark, and I had to use flash.  Unfortunately, a lot of noise ended up in the result with high iso.  I think I should’ve just used direct flash on most.  I also wanted to go full-frame asap, but I think I’m just going to wait it out until my camera officially dies.  Thanks for Amy for having me help out for Ginger’s birthday!  I should be putting these on the website soon.
